CHALLENGES

Don’t forget about our upcoming challenges. We have the Annual Challenge and the  Bracelet Blank.

This year for The Annual Challenge there will be 3 to choose from; wire, non jewelry and Tammy Bacot’s challenge. The non jewelry item can be as simple as a bookmark or a koozie holder! These challenges can get you to think outside the box. This one is due in September and will be voted on. There will be prize money awarded in each category; Expert, advance, & beginner You can choose to do 1 or all 3 if you like.

The Bracelet Blank, due in August, is the one were you have a bracelet style of your choice with a clasp, then someone else embellishes Step outside of your comfort zone! Don’t be afraid to try them. We belong to a great group and there is always help if needed. They really push you to be creative and you will surprise yourself at what you can accomplish!

Last month we had the bead sale for one of our members, Jean McQuillenThe sale went well. Thank you
BSSV members for helping liquidate her beads. Please keep her in your thoughts in prayers. She has
been diagnosed with lung cancer.

We are involved with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness. This is a charity that we donate hand made beaded items to for the organization. Cancer is one of those diseases that affects someone we know, such as our own own BSSV member.

Our monthly meetings are a great time to come, relax and have the uninterrupted time to bead. It is a great time to have conversations with friends and learn new things and brainstorm on projects. Our lives are always so busy with work, kids, appointments etc that we sometimes find we do not make the time for ourselves. Don’t forget to bring your projects and relax when you come to our meetings.
